Dakota Electric Lighting Incentives
Upgrade your lighting. Pay less.
Through our partnership with Dakota Electric, we sell new LED lights at the lowest prices. We've helped hundreds of businesses, schools, municipalities, non-profits, and farms upgrade their lighting to LED across Minnesota. Eligible projects may qualify for low out-of-pocket costs, and some may qualify for no-cost options based on program rules and approval. You only pay the prices we quote you.

What to know before you start
Hill Electric Supply has stocked and sold lighting since 1948. We file the program forms and confirm eligibility with Dakota Electric; here is what the program asks of you.

- Commercial customers of Dakota Electric in Minnesota: businesses, farms, and tax-exempt organizations.
- Products must ship to and be installed at the facility address shown on the invoice.
- Lights must be installed within 60 days of purchase.
- Dakota Electric verifies installation at the listed address.
What you pay
- Program incentives are already applied to the prices you see. There is no rebate to file and no reimbursement to wait for.
- Your quote is itemized by product and quantity, so you can see what every line costs before you commit.
- Freight is included on program orders.
If anything about your quote changes, we tell you before you order.
Documents to have ready
- The first 3 pages of a recent Dakota Electric bill, with a contact name, phone, and email for the facility.
- Your tax-exempt certificate, if applicable.
- A completed order form. We prepare this from your quote.
Not included in your quote
- Installation labor. Program pricing covers the products and freight only.
- Sales tax, unless you send us a tax-exempt certificate.
